MONICA
Monica has been singing since the age of 9 when she picked up a cassette tape of The Judds and began listening. Her parents, Lonnie and Elsa Pohl, encouraged her to perform and supported her love of music. Since then, her love for music has grown tremendously. She’s had the opportunity to sing with many local bands in the Albuquerque New Mexico area (David & Company, Fat City, Red Wine, Vibe, Robbie Jude Band & Picosso) as well as with her aunts in the church choir. Her love for music comes from her heart and through generations. Her grandfather, Arturo Marquez, was a well-known Mariachi and sang for most of his life in Mexico and New Mexico.was a Mariachi and sang for most of his life. Monica also has a love for the guitar. She started playing guitar at a young age but began studying classical guitar with Gustavo Pimentel later in life. She has enjoyed using what she has learned to incorporate into her music. Throughout her musical journey, she has had the opportunity to sing with many talented musicians and felt that it was the right time to get these musicians together and make a once in a lifetime band.
Some of Monica’s influences include Wynonna Judd, Linda Ronstadt, Rihanna and Amy Winehouse.

Lorenzo Ramirez is a professional Drummer from Albuquerque New Mexico.
He has had the opportunity to play with bands such as Red wine and David Nunez & co. His experience with different genres of music has helped him develop a distinct style of playing. He is excited to take on his new role as the Band Leader for "Monica and the KREW".

Robbie Jude
Robbie Jude began his music career at the age of 11, when he started playing bass in his father’s band. While he has continued to play bass for various bands and musicians in New Mexico, he has also gained popularity as a New Mexico Music recording artist. Robbie's distinct vocal talents are unlike that of any other artist in the state of New Mexico. Since his recording debut in 2004, he has released 3 albums and is currently working on his fourth, which promises to be his most popular yet.
David

David “DAA” Anaya (Trumpet) a New Mexico native: David started playing the trumpet at the very early age of 8 years old. David was a music performance major at the University of New Mexico. After many years touring David returned to the University where he graduated with a degree in Business Administration.
David’s musical influences are Frank Sinatra, Louis Armstrong, Doc Severinsen, Count Basie, Bobby Shew, Freddie Hubbard, and Marty Carlucci.
As a performer, David has musically toured from one coast to the other with stops in Miami, Chicago, Las Vegas, Portland to mention a few.
David’s musical resume includes: touring and recording with international/national artists Lorenzo Antonio and the Sparx,
performing with the Fania All-Stars pianist Larry Harlow and his Latin All-Stars, Louie Belson, Stan Marc, Bobby Shew, and Roy Burns.
David has performed locally with the Albuquerque Jazz Orchestra, Fat City, Al Hurricane, Tiny Morrie, The Big Kahuna’s Rhythm and Blues Review, Roberto Griego, Brown Sugar Band, and Redwine.
David’s Salsa resume includes performing with the original Casa Blanca, Encanto, Café Mocha, Ciudad De La Salsa, and Tumbao.
